HOW TO GET INVOLVED
There are three ways for you to get involved from wherever you are in the world.
WALK WITH US
All walkers MUST register. Registration is free.
By registering, you are committing to going on a walk for one hour during your city's designated time slot (see above). You can walk alone or with friends (each friend must register individually). If you choose to walk with friends, please keep to your government's rules on social distancing. We want to ensure everyone's health and safety and therefore do NOT intend on participants gathering and walking in big groups. Is your country in lockdown or are you in quarantine? You can still participate by walking around your block or even around your apartment!
ON THE DAY:
Take photos and videos during your walk and upload it to instagram with the tag @worldcancerwalk . This way participants around the world can feel connected and unified and see how the walks progress across the cities around the world.
Don't have time to walk on the day? You can still participate in our global event by donating below.
SPREAD THE WORD
Tell your family and friends about the event and encourage them to get involved by walking and/or donating too! The more participants, the greater the global impact!
RELAY FOR LIFE - BELGIUM
Money raised from this event goes to the Relay For Life, Belgium. Relay For Life is a festive event for all ages that focuses on solidarity and fund-raising for the fight against cancer. Over 24 hours, the community members of a city, town, or locality mobilise themselves in order to:
- Celebrate and pay tribute to people that have conquered cancer, and support those that are still fighting the disease;
- Remember people that have lost their fight against cancer and support those that are still fighting the disease;
- Stand united in the fight against cancer.
Sponsored teams relay for 24 hours. At least one member of the team must be present on the track at all times.
The 24 hours are a symbol of the constant battle patients and their families must endure in the fight against the disease. Relay For Life is not a competition! But a gathering of communities united in the fight against cancer.

This event was created in memory of my beloved grandparents, our dearest Holly who we love and miss beyond words, as well as all those who lost their lives to cancer around the world. It was also created in honour of my heroic Aunt Bev and every other cancer survivor; and in support of all those who are currently fighting their battle. It is made with love and inspired by our dear friend Cindy and all the incredible work that she does for Relay For Life, Belgium. May she have a complete healing soon.
